TREE AND BED PLANTING

Tree and Bed Planning

All dead annual plants need to be removed from your gardens. This will loosen the soil and make the entire garden look neater. Its best to hand-rake around all your plants carefully to loosen the soil without disrupting new plant growth. Excess debris, such as dead leaves, and any weeds that have begun to grow, will also be removed, and a quality pre-emergent weed control will be laid before any new mulching is placed.

When looking to add some more dramatic curb appeal or just spruce up your current landscape, be careful to select trees and shrubs will thrive in your micro-climate. Careful placement of trees and smaller ornamental trees and shrubs will provide a private sanctuary-like space you desire.

Whether you’re after the brilliant popping colors of spring blooms, a fragrant scent of a balmy summer morning or the rewarding sights of a bevy of butterflies and birds, Unique Landscaping will create a custom tailored landscape to complement your home.

Hardy perennials of varying fragrances, colors and textures, including cornflower, phlox, daisies, salvia, coreopsis and sage will often last long into summer and even into the fall. Annual bedding plants such as begonias, pansies, petunias and zinnias, planted in properly prepared beds, are sure to add splashes of seasonal, vibrant color.

Unique Landscaping’s expert garden techs know how to follow the seasons by planting the right bulbs and perennials, accenting them with just the right flowering accents in your landscape and rock beds. Because most annual bedding plants prefer good drainage, raised beds or mounds is the best way to go. Raised beds do not require edging or lumber, though edging is an option to help better define the beds and make your homes landscaping stand out.
